Itinerary
After breakfast and a comprehensive briefing, your safari to Kisoro begins. Along the way, enjoy several notable stopovers, including the Uganda equator at Kayabwe for photos and sightseeing. Continue to Mbarara for a visit to the Igongo Cultural Centre, where you’ll explore the Ankole-Kigezi Museum. Travel through the picturesque Kigezi highlands before arriving in Kisoro for an overnight stay.
Following breakfast and a briefing at the park headquarters, you'll be fully equipped with drinking water, snacks, and suitable hiking gear. The adventure commences from Ntebeko Ranger Station, leading you through swamps and bamboo forests, where you may encounter wildlife such as birds, elephants, and golden monkeys. Reaching the summit, you'll witness the unique convergence of three countries—DR Congo, Rwanda, and Uganda. On clear days, the views extend to Lake Bunyonyi in Uganda and Lake Kivu spanning Rwanda and DR Congo. After soaking in the breathtaking scenery, descend back to Ntebeko Station and return to your hotel in Kisoro.
